Requirements

As an Data Engineer II here you are passionate about using software-based approaches to solve complex data-driven challenges and automate those solutions. General summary

Key responsibilities:

- Lead, coach and develop team of analysts who support cost of organization planning, reporting and analytics

- Design and maintain personnel cost KPIs and benchmarking analysis which can be reviewed on regular basis by business

- Support with productivity analysis, reports and control

Requirements
5+ years of working experience in FP&A Finance function
CIMA/ACCA qualified or edcution in progress desired
Experience in managing teams of 5+ employees
Working experience with financial control, management reporting and business analyses, preferably within an international environment

Intellectual capacity to digest complex information, see trends and analysis through data and to translate this into concrete actions

The Role

This role will work closely with the Senior Programming Coordinator and the wider ANZ Programming team to execute the scheduling vision in accordance with the content strategy across Discovery Australia and NZ.

You will oversee the input and management of detailed broadcast and digital schedules (as allocated) ensuring all key stakeholders are updated as to achieve the best performance possible.

  • Create and maintain the schedules in line with approved plans

  • Update of EPG functionality in line with requirements

Your new role...

The Hardware Asset Management Analyst I is a member of the Hardware Asset Management team and has three primary areas of responsibility for WBD; IT Asset Identification and Tracking, Technology Asset Disposition and Asset Lifecycle Management. This role requires knowledge of all IT hardware and operates in live broadcast, live studio production, and live signal supply chain areas, so previous experience with sensitive *** environments is necessary.

Your Accountabilities...

Asset Identification and Tracking

  • Responsible for coordinating local order logistics, order reconciliation of IT technology assets, asset record creation, asset record maintenance and asset distribution to worldwide support teams, for all of WBD's IT acquisitions (see terms)
  • Responsible for processing and tracking equipment repairs and product returns for loaned or demonstration products delivered to WBD
  • Coordinate equipment distributions with WBD project managers, global support teams, suppliers and logistics providers for 80+ concurrent projects

Technology Asset Disposition

  • Responsible for collecting, processing and disposing of all IT assets for WBD
  • Responsible for updating asset records for retired equipment
  • Accountable for the management of retired asset storage areas

Asset Lifecycle Management

  • Accountable for controlling the inventory for capital surplus assets, operational spare assets, and consumable parts
  • Maintain secure and organized storage areas at local site
  • Conduct physical inventory counts
  • Updates to asset records to maintain the accuracy of WBD's hardware asset register

Requirements...

  • Technology Asset Management experience
  • Hands-on experience with IT hardware
  • Direct interaction with customers, vendors, manufacturers, procurement services, and logistics providers
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications Excel, Teams and Outlook
  • Experience with Ariba and ServiceNow

Job Purpose:

The Tax Specialist assists in local tax compliance and controversy for WBD's business units in Asia Pacific; prepares the internal US tax reporting documents; and is responsible for the withholding tax processes.

Job Responsibilities:

1) Internal US Tax Reporting:

  • Prepare quarterly and year-end tax packages, provision calculation, cash tax forecast, and other supporting schedules

2) Asia Pacific Tax Compliance and Controversy:

The Manager/Senior Manager, Direct to Consumer Legal, EMEA is responsible for all legal aspects of our fast-paced and ever-growing direct-to-consumer business.

Based in London, this position will form part of the Direct to Consumer and Streaming (D2C) EMEA Legal team. The role reports to the D2C Regional Legal Lead for EMEA. The D2C Legal team (with lawyers based in the US and the UK) has an international remit and provides comprehensive and proactive legal support to *** Discovery's global digital businesses: Max and discovery+ (including *** Sport). Digital is a core growth area and a key priority for *** Discovery as it continues to expand its portfolio of direct-to-consumer SVOD, AVOD and digital content services, making it a dynamic and exciting environment to work in.

Key Responsibilities:

Consumer and Marketing

  • Work closely with key stakeholders on the global rollout of new digital product launches.
  • Provide support across the consumer lifecycle/experience, including advising on product development, buyflows, subscription models and pricing, promotions, customer support and complaints.
  • Advising on a wide range of consumer, regulatory and marketing law issues.
  • Advertising, marketing and promotional campaign clearance and events for both the D2C services and content
  • Liaising with the global compliance teams to ensure product compliance across all markets.
  • A proven track record in product development and marketing are key to the role.

Commercial Agreements

  • Draft, negotiate and advise on a wide range of commercial agreements, including in respect of (without limitation) promotional partnerships, events, consultancy services, i *** uencers, sponsorships, marketing, creative agencies, advertising and confidentiality.
  • Work closely with our international legal team to advise on digital distribution agreements with key affiliate and global partners, including content distribution agreements with OTT platform providers and app stores.
  • Draft, negotiate and advise on Ad Tech agreements including SSP, DSP and DMP agreements.

  • Create and update relevant policies and template agreements.
  • Work closely with the regional legal teams globally to navigate legal restrictions, improve efficiencies, and implement best practices.

Capabilities:

Skills & Experience

  • A technically very proficient lawyer

  • Supports the improvement and evolution of publishing planning process for future efficiencies.
  • Supports the management of the content creative needs and budget.
  • Collaborate with Category in developing and executing long and medium term publishing strategies, pitching the global portfolio of *** brands to existing and prospective publishing licensees, providing input on contract negotiations and reviewing marketing collateral for accuracy.
  • Manages the publishing databases on Airtable including the master publishing plan, co-edition deal tracker, global catalog, and the digital files library.
  • Identifies, develops and executes new business initiatives to address white space opportunities.
  • Interfaces frequently with management providing business updates, internal and external formal presentations and participate in strategy discussions.
  • Identifies and applies competitive and industry key learnings, trends and product innovations.

Qualifications & Experience...

Work Experience

5 plus years of experience in Publishing industry with background in Licensing preferred

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification

BA degree in English, communications, journalism or related field required

Knowledge/Skills

  • Proven and effective written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to develop publishing content
  • Knowledge of key trends in the entertainment industry: publishing, film, animation, television, gaming
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven and effective interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships with internal and external partners
  • Must have ability to communicate and collaborate effectively cross-functionally, with senior management and with external partners
  • Must demonstrate flexibility and effectiveness when faced with changing schedules or priorities
  • Strong organizational and planning skills required
  • Strong strategy, digital and analytical skills
  • Strong licensing acumen
  • Proven ability to execute strategic and operational plans
  • Sharp attention to detail
  • Strong and varied computer software knowledge required (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, Airtable, Teams, Zoom)
  • Knowledge of retail landscape: key retailers, buying cycles, sell-in process, etc.

Base pay is just one component of *** Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $83,090.00 - $154,310.00 salary per year.
